If there is one thing that can make every single one of us happy on any given day, it's a collection of animals finding their forever homes. There is nothing that hits us in the feels harder than that, and from experience, we know that the same is true for you guys. Animal adoption stories are pure and wholesome on a different level. They allow us to disconnect from all the bad in the world, and they remind us that people are kind and loving and that there's hope for humanity still.

And the one kind of animal adoption that hits us even harder than most is senior pet adoption stories. Those are the ones that bring us the most hope. Knowing that these pets probably won't be with you for that long, understanding that your job as their owner is to make them as happy as possible in their final years - as many of them as you'll get, that's something to be valued and cherished. It's gratifying a lot of times because the senior pets feel it. They have been through a lot, they have lived their lives, a lot of times, they have been through things that are traumatizing. So they are grateful to you, because they know, they understand, that they are being given something valuable.

This is what we mean by "traumatizing". This kind of life cannot be easy for any pet - moving from shelter to shelter, encountering new things everywhere, never getting to settle and calm down. Taking thee pets in is a beautiful thing, and we can only hope that seeing stories like the ones in this collection will make more people want to do that.
